Methi dosa (methianche polle)


Methi Dosa

Ingredients:
Rice : 2 cups
Fenugreek seeds : 2 tbls
Urad dal : 1 tbsp 

Procedure:

Wash and soak rice, urad dal and fenugreek for 7 - 8 hours.

Grind them to a fine paste, you may also add some ground coconut and sweetener if you like the sweeter version.

Allow it to ferment over night

Next morning add salt and water to make a thin batter.


Heat a pan, lightly greese it with oil and wipe out, then pour the batter in the center and spread out to make a thin dosa.

Or make a bit thicker ones like pancakes by just pouring the batter in the center of the pan. 


Cover and cook till done. Do not flip to cook the other side. Serve with chutney or sweet mango pickle.
