Ragi laddoo
Ragi/ nachni laddoo could be a good alternative for satva or tizan which can be easily carried along and stored over a month. They are nutritious and a suitable snack for pregnancy and post partum. Ingredients : Ragi (finger millet) flour : 3 cups Dry coconut (khopra) : 2 cups (grated) Cashew nuts : 2 - 3 tblsp Almonds : 2 - 3 tblsp Cardamoms : 5 Nutmeg : 1/4 piece Fennel seeds : 1 tblsp Carom seeds (ajwain) : 1/2 tblsp Jaggery : 3 cups (grated) Ghee : 8 tblsp (3/4 cup) Procedure : Grate the dry coconut and slice the jaggery and keep ready.
