Chocolate cake
Ingredients :
All purpose flour (maida) : 1 & 1/2 cups
Cocoa powder : 1/2 cup
Sugar : 1 & 1/4 cup 250 gms
Baking powder : 1 tsp
Baking soda : 1/4 tsp
Butter : 200 gms
Yoghurt : 1/4 cup
Eggs : 4
Oil : 1/4 cup
Vinegar : 1 tsp
Vanilla essence : 1 tsp
Procedure :
Sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda together using a sieve and keep it aside.
Prepare a baking tin by brushing it with some oil and then dusting it with the flour and cocoa mixture or put butter paper.
Powder the sugar and whisk it along with softened butter and oil until it becomes fluffy.
Then add eggs one at a time and whisk again.
Whisk yoghurt, Vanilla and vinegar together and mix it into the cake mixture.
Finallly add in the flour and cocoa powder mixture and fold it into the butter and egg mixture little at a time,
Until you get a smooth batter.
Pour the batter into the prepared tin and spread it evenly. Preheat the oven and bake it between 150⁰ - 180⁰ for about 1 hour and 15 minutes or until you see it loosen the sides.
Layer and top it with some ganache.
