Coconut halwa
Coconut halwa is made of coconuts which has just matured, and it's flesh shouldn't be chewy.
Ingredients :
Grated coconut : 5 cups
Palm jaggery : 500 gms
Ginger : 4 inch piece
Cardamom powder : 2 tsp
Cashew nuts : handful
Procedure :
Put coconut and chopped jaggery in large saucepan and cook on a high flame.
After sometime the jaggery will melt.
When all the liquid dries up and the mixture is completely dry add chopped cashew nuts and grated ginger and cook for another five to eight minutes.
Finally add cardamom powder and shape it into medallions.
