Aloo Katli
Aloo Katli goes well as a side dish along with rice. You can make this recipe using potato, sweet potato, yam, baby potatoes, lady fingers, boiled chickpeas, or sautéed mushrooms. Ingredients : Potatoes : 2 medium size Oil : 2 tblsp Turmeric powder : 1/4 tsp Chili powder : 1/4 tsp Pepper powder : 1/4 tsp Cumin powder : 1/4 tsp Amchur (dry mango) powder : 1/2 tsp Carom seeds : a pinch Garam masala : 1/4 tsp (optional) Salt : 1/2 tsp Coriander leaves : hand ful Procedure : 1. Wash the potatoes/ sweet potatoes, remove any dirty or dry skin or peel it, then cut them into slices 2. For baby potatoes, wash them and pressure cook them until 2 whistles, then peel them. 3. For yam, peel it (without prior washing) with the help of a peeler or knife, then cut it into slices about 2 - 3 mm thick.
